The Punjab region of India is famous for its dhabas (pronounced tub-ah). These informal roadside cafés are some of the most unique and flavorful places to eat in Punjab. Known for being locally owned and operated, dhabas offer fresh, fast, and authentic food at a great value.

On our many trips to India, one of our very first stops was always a roadside dhaba on the way to our village. It became something we looked forward to—and dreamt about—long after returning home.

We wanted to bring that same experience of bold flavors and comforting food to the West. That's how Dhaba Bowls & Bur-rotis was born. Inspired by the roadside dhabas of India, we've given the concept a modern twist with a Western flair.
